Finished The Notebook in a few hours. It was okay. It was not a tearjerker as I had hoped it would be. It was sentimental, predictable, and sweet. Very cliched at times. The only way it would make me truly sigh and cry is if I were to imagine myself in the story. The love. The everlasting love. All in all...it was simply okay and a fast effortless read. White Oleander was far better and original, even though the details in the book drove me to pieces sometimes. The only book which has truly transformed me into a quivering tearful mess is when I read an abridged version of Victor Hugo's Les Miserables when I was in highschool. The ending of the story was so cleansing...a tidal wave of tears and hot beautiful emotion flowed from me when I closed the covers of the book. Simply wonderful. I am seriously thinking of getting the unabridged version of the book. Fullness and purity. All 1000+ pages of it. Maybe.

Next book. Should I read A Walk To Remember, The Hottest State, Tropic Of Cancer, Tropic Of Capricorn or should I go to the bookstore for a new copy of Hugo? The possibilities are endless. Me. The bookworm.
