I was happily burnt out on movies last night. I recorded Fight Club and Loser. Fight Club is indescribable as always -- powerful and just wonderfully kick-ass and ingenious. Loser is endearing and I think Mena Suvari has such a delightful expression/mixture of personality and beauty.
One of the countless reasons why being a mother is so awesome : the magic and tranquility I physically and emotionally feel when I watch my son fall blissfully asleep. I watch how he wraps his little arms around his soft blue-grey stuffed dolphin and how he places his head on its fin as a pillow. I marvel at his eyelids blinking and his eyes slowly looking at the window or the ceiling with the silence of the bedroom lulling him to sleep. And then the most beautiful moment of all -- when his eyelids flutter one last time before finally falling asleep to the sweet thoughts and dreams of toys, cars, and our unending love for him. He is such a vision to behold and take in. I can't help but shower his cheek with my kisses. Even in sleep he is always protected, always loved.
