I did something wonderful for myself. I actually exercised. This is a HUGE accomplishment being that I am a couch potato - a baked potato with some pepper, melted cheese, butter, and some sour cream-type of potato. I ran/walked a little over 2.03 miles yesterday morning on the treadmill and ran/walked 2.3 miles today -- not by any means hard-core (or even soft-core, hehe) exercise, but it is still productive. The red flushed skin, rapid heartbeat, some gasps for air, and beads of sweat-- the works. It felt/feels so good to have some control over my body again. Yes, I admit I do want to shed some extra pounds, but I also want to be healthier, physically and emotionally. A little exercise makes a tremendous difference to me. It just feels GOOD. Now, the only hurdle to leap is to maintain this regimen. I think I can stick to it this time.

Oh, and by the way, I am having some slices of cheese pizza and cold iced tea for lunch.

You didn't think I was giving up food, did you? I don't have THAT much willpower.
