So many things to enjoy. I received Radiohead's OK Computer and Natacha Merritt's Digital Diaries yesterday. Elation.
The album just oozes beauty.
And Digital Diaries is succulent. Sex, nudity, porn, photography, prose. Light and dark. Innocence and hard-core eroticism. The book feels so gorgeously tangible in my hands as I flip through the voyeuristic pages.
I've been listening heavily to Tori Amos' To Venus And Back. The song Lust is my favorite off the first cd disk. The lyrics and music are so captivating...I float on clouds of ecstasy when I listen to this song. Over and over again. It stops me in my tracks. It beckons me to soar.
Lust
Written By Tori Amos.
Hey you gender nectar sifting
Through the grain of gold tripping at
Your door is that you. alpha in her blood
And when the woman lies you don't
Believe her
Rolling and unrolling
Coiling emerging
Running free
Running through the underworld
Into your room
Is he real or a ghost-lie
She feels she isn't heard
And the veil tears and rages
Till her voices are remembered
And his secrets can be told
Hey you gender nectar
Crystalline from the vine
You know you'll drink her
Rolling and unrolling
Coiling emerging running free
Running through the afterworld
Into your room so she prays
For a prankster and lust
In the marriage bed
And he waits till she can give
And he waits and he
Waits
