Oh my god...today was hellish.

D. had a fever and still has one, but I think he is feeling better.

The tally for today was (I think I lost count though due to my own exhaustion) : 5 loads of laundry which resulted from 7 episodes of puking, 4 shirts and 4 pants, 2 pillows, 1 blanket, 5 bedsheets, and various assorted items like bath towels and hand towels.

Include to that lots of tedious scrubbing of the puked-on carpet.

And most of all, add one very poor little almost 3-year-old boy...who, for the entire length of the day, did not eat more than 2 saltine crackers, a bite of a soft pretzel, 1 Flintstone's vitamin, 1 cup of cold Chrysanthamum tea, 1 cup of milk, and lots of water...all of which he threw up more or less. He managed to play a little here and there, but mostly was just too sapped of energy. We watched Where The Heart Is, starring Natalie Portman and Ashley Judd...because it is one of our favorite movies. He smiled and laughed and was in awe during the two repeated viewings of the movie. Isn't that so adorable?

Oh man...D.'s fever has kicked not only his butt, but mine as well. It was physical labor all day long. Cleaning and washing and scrubbing and drying.

My sweet little son.

I want him back to his typically wild and mischievous and fun self.

I hope he can shake it off tonight during sleep. I'm keeping a close eye on him.
