Remember this previous entry describing my little D.'s fever?

Well, his temperature shot up to around 102.8 at 5 this morning. He felt like a fiery furnace. I could barely stand to touch his skin. And I was scared too.

When we woke up in the morning, we made an appointment for him to see the pediatrician then and there. Once the appointment was made, we scurried out of the house and drove to the doctor's office. The pediatrician confirmed that D. had the same virus every little child was getting recently. The only treatment was doses of children's Advil...and if respiratory symptoms surfaced in the next few days, children's Dimeatapp should be administered. Other than that...plenty of tender loving care and rest. The pediatrician said that the course of the virus shouldn't last more than several days to a week or so at the most.

When we came home (with sufficient quantities of Advil, Dimeatapp, Gatorade, and Kool-Aid), we gave D. his first dose of the grape-flavoured liquid Advil. And he is doing very well ever since then. Getting much more active even though his appetite is still practically non-existent.

Tiny baby steps to recovery.

Our little buddy is on his way back!!!

Hallellujah!
