It's 5 in the morning. I'm famished and will whip up a creamed-cheesed bagel. After that, I'll be crawling back into my warm bed and snuggle up with M. The music of Marilyn Manson's Mechanical Animals album will sing me to sleep. That is the only Marilyn Manson album I truly get into...the quiet/angry/romantic(yes!!)/glamour-infused music and lyrics. If you have never listened to this album, just give it a try. It's actually quite beautiful...some songs that are especially lovely are Great Big White World, Coma White, and Mechanical Animals. And yeah...many of the lyrics by themselves are depressing and sound hopeless...but when they are accompanied by the LUSH music...it's otherworldly, dripping with gorgeousness, and at times actually sound the opposite. I went to a Marilyn Manson concert once. It was absolutely awesome...the vocals were amazing. And hell...what a stage performance. Eye candy of the flamboyant/weird/glamour sort.
