I just bought some books online :

Pride and Prejudice

Dangerous Angels: The Weetzie Bat Books

I Was a Teenage Fairy

Stargirl

I bought Pride And Prejudice strictly because it was the favorite book of Meg Ryan's character in the movie You Got Mail. I love that movie. It is one of my most adored movies because:

-It's an online love story (just like how M. and I first met, although we lived in different states).

-It takes place in two bookstores and I worship bookstores.

-It is a sweet, funny and romantic movie. Sentimental. I am a sucker for it.

-Tom Hanks is always wonderful.

-Meg Ryan seems darling in it.

-Parker Posey always rocks.

-Greg Kinnear is just cool.

The other three books are what you would classify as "adolescent/teenage" books. I have seen these titles being recommended and mentioned in various online journals. And I usually LOVE "teenage-type" books, so I decided to buy them fresh from an online bookstore and devour them.

I love books PERIOD. I love everything about them. The smell. The texture. The weight. The crispness of the paper. The spine. The covers. The book flaps. The words. The fonts. The sound of a page turning. The creativity. The fantasy. The otherworldliness. The sexiness. The sadness. The horror. The details that cover every possible AND impossible shade of a prism and rainbow. Books are IMMORTAL. They encourage me to feel EVERYTHING. They are an ADDICTION. An OBSESSION...that I will NEVER tire of.

In the movie Mad Love, Chris O'Donnell says to Drew Barrymore (when he is describing her), "You like books. Not just reading them, but books THEMSELVES." Well, that is ME.
