M. and I went to the Borders bookstore today. We went to the Horror section and I was skimming book titles. My eye caught on House Of Leaves by Mark. Z. Danielewski, who is Poe's brother. Ever since I bought Poe's Haunted album and read about her brother's book, I wanted to buy the book and see what he is all about. Her album was inspired by his book. I wasn't thinking about searching for his book or planning to buy it...but my heart made a little leap when I saw the book on the shelf. I grabbed it hungrily and flipped through the pages to get a taste of his writing. Spooky, creepy, weird, dark, beautiful. The book's layout is so wild and bizarre...an absolute feast for the senses...I don't know how to describe it...you have to see it for yourself. Here's a bit of information of what the book is about, courtesy of the front cover flap :
I cannot WAIT to devour this huge book.
