To enlighten you on how much of a good girl I was...
-I was nervous about puffing on a sugary-gum-dust cigarette. My girl friends and I were sitting at the bench in my elementary school's playground area. I was in fifth or sixth grade. One of my friends had bought pink gum wrapped in thin white paper, a.k.a. "the gum cigarette." They were even packed in a cigarette-like container/paper box. You were supposed to puff into the end of the "cigarette" and the sugary dust would blow out, appearing like it was really cigarette smoke. I thought the whole thing was kinda cool and cute, and it seemed fun. But, I was also nervous as hell because other people (like teachers) might misinterpret what we were doing. I'd think What if people think I am REALLY smoking???! Hmmm. Now that I look back at the gum cigarettes, I am wondering if they still exist. I mean, geez, they give kids the impression that smoking is cool. And it is NOT. M. used to smoke since he was a teenager. He stopped cold-turkey when I was pregnant three years ago. Whatta sweet guy. He did it for all of us. He stopped because I was pregnant. He stopped because he never wants our son to be around a parent who smoked...it increases the chances of him becoming a smoker as well. He stopped for his own health. He stopped so we could ALL be healthier. I love him. And yes...cold turkey baby.
Hmm...that was a nice digression.
Back to the good girl stuff...
-I have never been on school detention.
-I have never been grounded by my parents.
-I have never fought with my younger brother.
-I have never been to any type of dance club.
-I have never been in a real fight.
My god...I don't know whether to be proud or disgusted. HAHAHA!
